Plumbing the depths II

Catch a Fire thought I was referring to the “disruption” to bus services caused by bathroom problems in my last post, so I will comment (briefly) on that too.

Service has now been restored after a temporary solution to the problem was found. I sympathise with Catch a Fire’s viewpoint about dignity and safety on this, and also think the vision of drivers pulling over so they can relieve themselves in the bushes is undesirable, but I am not at all sure that going out on strike was the best answer.

This assumes that management were moving quickly to clear (?) the problem. If they were, it’s hard to see how inconveniencing hundreds of people was justified because the bus drivers themselves were inconvenienced – where are our priorities?
